In the middle of packing our bags to head off to WOMEX2014 in Santiago de Compostela to join in the merry making (and business) at the annual meeting of international folkies everywhere.

WOMEX13 led to many exciting opportunities in 2014 and we're hoping for more of the same for 2015.  Get in touch if you're out there too.

We have a shiny new album Mudo/Migrating! Had two wonderful gigs in Bangor and Abergavenny, thanks to the Blue Sky Cafe and Dylan and Gill at Stiwdio Felin Fach.  Such a warm and positive response to the new material – phew.   Looking forward to our launch in Cardiff on thursday, with our special guests Dylan Fowler, Mark O’Connor and Beth Williams-Jones.

It’s been a busy and exciting time in the last few months.  First there was Womex13 in October – a brilliant success and really chuffed that our fringe night in the Look Out cafe was popular with the musos and delegates too.  Then in January we had the most inspiring trip to West Bengal thanks to Amitava and Banglanatak.  Collaborating with musicians from Kolkata and then playing and jamming with Fakiri and Baul musicians in Gorbhanga village, Nadia District.  An incredible experience we’ll never forget.  For more details and photos/videos check out our Facebook page.

Looking forward to our official showcase at Folk Alliance International in Kansas City later this month!

Just recorded recording our new Album at Dylan’s Fowler’s Studio Felin Fach – sounding lovely and feels like we’re moving in an interesting direction.  Mark O’Connor is playing some beautiful cahon on a few tracks, Dylan himself plays on a couple of tracks and the lovely Bethan Williams-Jones has done some wonderful clogging! Should be launching the album Mudo (Migration) in November.

Also got a couple of gigs coming up at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival at The Meeting Place in Queen’s Hall on 6th and 7th August 5-6pm.  We’ll be playing all our new tunes and songs – can’t wait!

Looking forward to our gig at WMC this Friday 10th 6.15pm.  Gonna be trying out some new material!

All fired up after our fantastic week’s residency in Bangor with the other Artist Development musos.  Thanks to Danny, Blanche, Angharad, Stephen, Elinor and all the tutors – a very inspiring week!

Hope to record a new album in July 2013 – watch this space!
